About this Dog
IRVING NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Irving Best Guess for Breed: pointer/dane mix Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of 6/7/20 SEX: male Approximate Weight: 44 lbs Gets Along With: Irving gets along well with other dogs. Due to shyness he cannot go to a home with kids under the age of 12. We have not seen him interact with cats yet but we are happy to test him with them if you have. Currently Living at: DC foster Check out this video of Irving: https://youtu.be/NrziEFASdX8. Special adoption considerations: Due to shyness Irving will need to go to a home with another dog to help him gain confidence. Irving cannot go to a home with kids under 12 years old due to shyness. Irving is Looking For: A family to provide long walks and daily trips to the dog park so he can come out of his shell and play with all of his doggy friends. He would love toys and a bed of his very own and cannot wait to play with his new doggy sibling. After a long day of fun, Irving looks forward to snuggling on the couch with his forever family to watch TV. What My Foster Says About Me: Irving is doing great! He’s a big happy puppy, a total lovebug, and very playful with people and dogs. Irving is settling into the routines of our house, and he has warmed up to me the quickest, then my kids (18, 16, 14), and more recently my husband. It is clear Irving wants to please us and loves to be praised. Irving also gets along well with both my dogs. While Irving is a little nervous when first meeting people, he is curious and if ignored, he warms up quickly. Irving loves to go for long walks and to the dog park, and I think he would make a good running partner. He also loves going on car rides. Irving can be high energy and doing zoomies all over, but he spends most of the day hours snoozing either in the crate or right by my side while I work. Irving likes chewing on all types of dog toys and bones. He especially loves to chew/chase/play with empty plastic water bottles. Irving is easily redirected from chewing on things he shouldn’t – and usually just waving or throwing a dog toy will redirect his attention. Irving has picked up on signals from my older dog who doesn’t want to play so much, and focuses on playing/wrestling with my younger dog. They especially like to play tug-o-war! Irving will do best in a house with another dog – its clear that having another dog around has helped Irving settle in and warm up to us. Irving does great in his crate – he sleeps in there through the night and also will go in there during the day if we need him to take a rest. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adopt Irving and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Irving's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Irving's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Irving, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Irving's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Irving was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Irving’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
