About this Dog
Due to concern around COVID-19, Underdog Rescue is suspending all public adoption events and community events. We are still accepting applications for available dogs but are delaying in-person meet and greets due to the ‘stay at home’ policy. Thank you for your support. DOB: 07/12/2010 Requires another dog in home: Yes Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes, small dogs only so far Okay with cats: Yes Okay with children under 12 years old: Unknown Requires a fenced yard: Yes Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area Hi! My name is Miss Maisy...you can call me Maisy. I'm new to home life and figuring out my new life. So far, I'm enjoying it and I'm learning a lot! I have had a lot of successes since coming into my foster home. I have had very few potty accidents in the house…YAY ME!!! I get to go outside every hour or two to do my business. I sleep through the entire night without having to go to the bathroom. I can't even remember the last time I had an accident in the house. I really enjoy frolicking around in a fenced yard…it would be so incredible if my furever home has a fenced yard and another doggie my size to play with…can you imagine the frolicking fun we’d have?? I'm being fed well and I like to eat a variety of food. I get an assortment of meat and vegetables mixed in with my dry kibble and I really like it when my foster dad soaks my kibble in bone broth for a minute or two…YUMMY!! I eat three times a day right now, but admit I don't always finish each meal…I guess I just like to eat at my own leisure. I love my kennel so much that I will eat, rest, and sometimes just hang out in there to get away from it all and be by myself to ponder life and that leash thing. Sometimes I will bark when I’m in there but it’s just a reminder to whoever is out there that I’m still here and in my kennel. When I'm not in my kennel I like to follow some of my four-legged foster siblings around the house as well as outside to partake in what they are sniffing and searching out. Hanging out with them makes me feel like I'm "one of the gang". My favorite thing to do with one of my foster siblings is to cuddle! She's a retired momma like me and she was adopted by my foster dad. I trust her the most. I tried to go for walks with my foster dad but that proved to be a challenge. I'm not used to having a leash on me yet, so I just stand there and wonder what to do. I see the other doggies with a leash and they don't seem to have a problem with it, so I guess it can't be all that bad. I keep trying and I know I'll figure it out soon…I’m pretty sure the time I spend in my kennel pondering the leash will help…we’ll see! Oh my gosh…I’m so excited to tell you…One of the best successes I've had so far is walking up the stairs! Seriously, can you believe it? I can walk up the stairs without being afraid at all! Now, I just have to learn how to walk down them! That may take some kennel pondering too, but I am really confident that with my foster dad’s help and patience, I am going to master going down the stairs too. I am enjoying some of the luxuries of home life! I get to sleep in a nice comfortable bed next to my foster dad. He's so warm and I can't seem to get close enough! I sometimes like to snuggle underneath the bed covers, but because I like to see what is going on, I mostly stay on top of them. I also get to enjoy good food! I am slowly starting to appreciate the luxury of resting on my foster dad’s lap. The best luxury of all though is that I get to roam around freely without being stuck in my kennel! Toys? What are toys? I haven't figured them out yet. I think those are the things my foster siblings are chewing on and throwing around all the time? If I’m right, I am currently perfectly content just watching them be silly with those toys. Hopefully soon I will find enjoyment with them though! I have not had any experience with those little humans, but I am always respectful of those meowy things…if for no other reason that I don’t want to be whacked in the face! As great as my life has been since moving in with my foster family, I can’t help but wish for a furever home with a family who will love me as unconditionally as I will love them. I am getting the feeling that you may be that family, so please hurry and come bring me to my new furever home. I can’t wait for you to get here!! Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***

Adopt Maisy and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Maisy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Maisy's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Maisy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Maisy's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maisy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maisy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Maisy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maisy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
