About this Dog
Date into Rescue: 12/31/2019 Reason for being in rescue: Ezzy was surrendered by her breeder to Carolina Poodle Rescue. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Ezzy has hip dysplasia, which is not uncommon in her breed. No surgical intervention was recommended at this time. Because her hips are slightly out of socket (the layman's terms for hip dysplasia), Ezzy is going to need lots of joint support such as gentle exercise, vitamin supplements and physical therapy. Our vet does not feel Ezzy is a candidate for surgery at this time. For more information on Ezzy's condition, please go here. www.akc.org/expert-advice/health/hip-dysplasia-in-dogs/ Weight: 60 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $299 Fence needed? Yes. Ezzy will need a fenced in yard, one big enough for her to run around in. She needs the ability to have gentle, regular exercise with her family playing with her. What kind of home would be best for me? Ezzy is a young dog looking for an active family. A home with another active dog would fantastic; Ezzy loves to play. A home with mature children would also be great. Ezzy needs a family that has the time, energy and patience to train a young dog. What is my personality like? Esmerelda (affectionately known as Ezzy) is allll puppy. Ezzy is full of energy. She wants to play 24/7! She does really well with other dogs, especially ones that like to wrestle! One of our caregivers recently told us that they would trust Ezzy with a newborn baby. She is that sweet and gentle. Ezzy has appointed herself the new guard for our puppies. She sits outside their building and watches over them. Ezzy is a young dog who is ready for school in how to be a great dog. Her current "classes" include learning leash walking, 4 on the floor (how not to jump up when meeting new people), and fundamentals of house training. We are working on potty training.. and trying to learn some cue's. Ezzy is eager to earn that "A+"! Ezzy loves treats and is very food motivated. She needs a home that’s willing to be patient with her as she’s learning and growing up! She is very, very bright and eager to learn. How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly. She gets very excited whenever anyone comes in the kennel and she loves meeting new people! If she really likes you, Ezzy will bring you a gift. Usually its her favorite toy! Other tips and tidbits: Ezzy's birthday is 4/30/2019. Here is our vet's professional assessment of Ezzy's condition - "Ezzy has significant degree of hip dysplasia which at present is not causing any problems her femoral muscles are reasonably well developed and she can lead an active life. She will be subject to premature degenerative joint disease. No surgical intervention at this stage is recommended." Ezzy's x ray is included in her photos so you can see her exact condition. If you are considering Ezzy, I suggest you get your vet to take a look and you discuss her ongoing support and treatment to insure you are comfortable with what she needs. Ezzy is a very unusual color. Her markings are called a "panda" shepherd. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Adopt Esmeralda and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Esmeralda's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Esmeralda's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Esmeralda, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Esmeralda's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Esmeralda was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Esmeralda’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Esmeralda’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Esmeralda’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
