About this Dog
Date into Rescue: 12/24/19 Reason for being in rescue: Owner release to Greer SC PD - elderly owner had been given the dog very recently and did not want her because she said Noel was "too old." A very kind police officer said "not on my beat" and posted Noel's story to her personal Facebook page. CPR was tagged and we stepped in. Foster location: Foster Home in Charlotte NC Special Needs? Noel has a grade 3/6 heart murmur, Noel also has cataracts. Weight: 13.30 lb Height: estimated 8 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $I am priceless Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? The best home for Noel would be one where she could spend the rest of her days relaxing. She is happiest when she is simply watching the world go by from the comfort of her bed. This girl LOVES snuggly soft beds. What is my personality like? Noel is just an old girl looking for her retirement home. She does not really care to participate in playing with other dogs or even asking for attention. Her typical day would be her snuggled up in her bed and snoozing the day away. Noel has no interest in trying to escape or dodge doors. She gets in no hurry when eating and does so at a comfortable pace. Noel will not seek or ask for attention but she will gladly accept it! Noel is a true low maintenance girl and will be happy just sleeping next to you on the couch. How do I act when I first meet new people? Noel is indifferent to most people. Not happy, not sad she simply is. She rides well in a car and is happy to go with you but does not have to. Other tips and tidbits: Estimated birth date 12/24/2008. Noel is scheduled for a dental the first week of March and can go to her new (and hopefully her truly forever) home after that date. If you are local to Spartanburg, she can go home now and we can arrange for you to bring her in to our vet to finalize her medical work. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
