About this Cat
Miss Congeniality!! Lovely classic marble tabby with pretty green eyes! She came to Fancy Cats after being rescued off the streets as a young stray by a concerned cat lover. She gets along very well with the other 4 cats in her foster home, and has settled in nicely to a regular routine. Holly fit right in with the other cats -- ages 3 to 16 -- she had no issues with them, nor they with her. She is fine holding her own with the 2 larger (friendly) male cats. She is very quiet (except for meowing at dinner), and loves having her chin scratched, and gives you big head butts of affection. She enjoys being petted and has discovered how nice it is to be brushed: she will flop over on her side for you to scratch her back, and give you a big stretch. She is very sturdy, with wonderfully soft fur. She is not too keen about being picked up (probably because she was not handled as a kitten) but is getting used to the idea. She is low maintenance and easy to take care of. She likes to chase crinkle balls and play independently with furry mice. But her favorite toy is the laser -- that is good for 15 min. of play right after breakfast. Then she goes and either looks out the front door for chipmunks, or snoozes under her favorite chair in the living room. She is very fastidious in the litter box and consistently uses the sisal scratching post. She hops up on the bed at night for pets and sometimes sleeps at the end of the bed. She is a bit skittish with loud noises, and would probably do best in a home with children older than 12. Holly would like to have her own human she did not have to share with 4 other cats, but she is obviously glad to be in a home. She hangs out in the same room as the other cats, and has learned how to be a very good housecat from them. She is smart -- you could see her watching the other cats and fitting in. And she very much likes other cats. For this reason, she needs a home with another cat, and not be by herself. If you would like to talk to her foster, that could be arranged. This is a nice cat for a settled home --- give her serious consideration for your next pet!
