About this Dog
When you’re lost and nobody comes to claim you, there’s only one thing to do. Keep hoping that your new best friend will find you and take you home. Gus was a lost boy, so we don’t know what his life was like before he was taken in. Despite that shake up, Gus has kept on smiling and wagging his tail, knowing that someone will see what a terrific guy he is. Gus is about 3 years old. He weighs 50 lbs, a great medium size - perfect for a family dog. He’s a happy, outgoing, confident boy who gets along well with other dogs and kids, too. And he’s got a goofy streak that makes him so much fun to be around. Gus has a lot of Retriever “bounce” so he has a fair bit of energy. Daily walks and playtime will be important for him. And even rainy and snowy days will be a blast for him – Retrievers love water any way it comes Gus is making lots of progress with his training. He’s working on leash walking, has been introduced to a crate and is learning house training too. Still, he’s not 100% yet, so an accident or two is possible until he understands what you want him to do. He has been neutered and is up to date on all his vaccinations. Gus is a naturally happy guy, with a smile and a tail wag for everyone. But he’s saving his biggest smile and his waggiest tail for his new best bud. Maybe you? The fee for adoption is $450. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and transport fees. Interested in adopting Gus? To get the ball rolling head over to http://www.dogstarrescue.org/the-form/ and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To help speed up the process, please call your vet and give them permission to speak with us. Adopt Gus 2 and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Gus 2's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Gus 2's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Gus 2, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Gus 2's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gus 2 was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gus 2’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Gus 2’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gus 2’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
