About this Dog

Petey is a very loving Pittie that is 2 years old and weighs in at 45lbs. He loves to play with kids and dogs and has a very tolerant/patient personality if his dog friends are feeling a little cranky. He LOOOOVVVEEESSSS to play ball in the backyard and tug of war. He does like to chew on his toys so I don't recommend stuffed animals. His ideal family will have kids that like to play and love on him and another dog that would enjoy running around the backyard. He believes he is a lap dog so when you are sitting down in your lap is where he will be. He loves to give and receive kisses and cuddles. Petey is use to a home where someone is always home. We have never left him alone with our other dog during the day since I work from home. He is neutered, housetrained and the most loving little guy you will ever meet once he gets comfortable. He does expect belly rubs, Chicken jerky treats and all types of rawhide or rawhide free chews. He is microchipped. We have a 4ft chain link fence and he has never jumped the fence even though he definitely could if he wanted too. He will require a yard to run and play in but he is an INSIDE dog. In true Pittie fashion he likes to be with his owner and will be your shadow, when you move he moves. He has been great with my 3 year old nephew but will scare little kids with how rough he can be when playing. He doesn't realize his own strength so if the house has small children I recommend only the adults playing with him or older children that can stand their ground. He does ok with our 9yr old chihuahua that is temperamental but again he doesn't realize his size so he needs to be watched if he tries to play with any smaller dogs. He HATES cats so please no homes with felines. He enjoys a good walk and car rides. It breaks my heart to have to rehome him especially since he had 2 homes prior to ours but I'm physically unable to take care of him on my own and my sister who wanted him is rarely home. He deserves a family that can give him the time and attention he needs. He is still very playful like a puppy and needs a family/ owner that can put time and attention into playing with him and training him. He requires an owner who will be patient with him while he is learning the rules. He's very smart and loving and you couldn't ask for a better friend. He will steal treats and any kid toys so he will have to be watched when its treat time and if the kids leave toys down. He only chews on toys but again a dog his size can make a big mess in short amount of time depending on what he is chewing on/playing with. Ex: stuffed animals end up in pieces and he tries to chew the wheels off of the hot wheels monster truck toys. He does jump on you when you get home and while you are gone he will howl. He doesn't like for anyone to leave home especially the person he chooses to bond with. He loves everyone but he will pick one person to bond with more than the others. After a few minutes of some rather sad crying and howling he will settle down as long as he has someone with him, again he has never been alone at my house either me or my sister has always been here with him. Adopt Petey and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Petey's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Petey receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Petey, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Petey's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Petey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Petey’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Petey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Petey’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
