About this Cat
Sylvester is a trained, sweet, low key cat that was rescued as a kitten. He is around 9 years old and in very good health and up to date on all his shots (he has had yearly wellness vet visits since he was a kitten). Sylvester is also very trainable and trained in quite a few things: * He is a 100% indoor cat (never tries to run out the front door, so you can bring in groceries and never worry he will get out). * Sly does not scratch furniture (he was trained as a kitten to use a scratching post and/or a turbo scratcher instead). * He has NO IDEA he can eat people food so when people are eating, he does not beg or stare. He does eat everything in his bowl and although he can get a little bit "chonky", he LOVES chopped up green beans added to his food to give him fullness without more calories. * The only time he gets treats is after he lets me cut his front claws and after we are done he is given Greenies to help keep his teeth clean. (He loves Greenies!) * Sly is also trained to not get on hard furniture or counters. He only gets on soft things like chairs and couches. * When I am putting down his food he is trained to step back and wait (since he was getting under foot previously - which concerned me about tripping) so he responds to "back up", then "sit" and then "stay" (while you pour the food) and then "Ok" to come to the bowl. (He is a smart cat!) Sly also has a cat bed that he adores sleeping in. I was warned when I adopted him that he is not good with dogs (which I never tested, but he does get very anxious when we go to the vet and dogs are barking). He would make the PERFECT pet for anyone who would love to have a low key cat that would perfectly content sit next to them and let them pet him all day long (between his naps). He LOVES being brushed. He has never been around children, so I can't say for sure how well he would do, but he has never been an aggressive cat. I am unfortunately in a position where I cannot keep him any longer and have not gotten any interest from local shelters. If I can’t find a home for him soon I will be forced to take him to the pound (and pray one of the rescues comes and takes him). After verifying the adoption, Sylvester (I am trained!!)'s new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

After we have verified the adoption, Sylvester (I am trained!!)’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
