About this Dog
Bear is 12 years old. He currently weighs approximately 17 lbs. He was given to our Mother about 4 years ago & she recently went to a nursing facility due to Alzheimer’s. Bear has no significant medical requirements. However he is overweight and is now on a restricted diet. He also needs some dental work and extractions, which we will schedule & fully fund if we find him a loving home. He is fully vaccinated and vet records are available. By nature of a Shih Tzus, Bear is HYPOALLERGENIC & has MINIMAL SHEDDING. But he does require regular grooming & trimming. Bear would do best as an elderly companion in a quiet home. He is not a fan of long walks but he is fully house trained and loves to play fetch. He is a great watch dog and barks when anyone comes around. He can be a little grumpy at times, but once he gets to know & love you he’s a great companion.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Bear's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bear was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bear’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
