About this Dog
Buddy is a healthy, exuberant 3-1/2-year-old American Pit Bull weighing 58 lbs who is full of love and looking for a loving family. I need to rehome him because of the health issues that I am having. Buddy is very social and loves people and other dogs. He is curious about cats and seems to be okay with them, although I don't own a cat so I'm not sure how he would adapt to living with one. He is social with other animals, so I assume he would adapt to any living situation given time and appropriate socialization opportunities. Buddy loves to run, play, and sometimes jumps when he gets excited meeting new people. He is good with children and can be very gentle although he does better with older children because of his high energy level. He would love to be part of a pack with another dog(s) to play with. Buddy knows the commands: sit, stay, down, off, come, up, in the house, go to your pad, and kennel. He loves going for walks and likes being around people all the time. He lays at my feet when I work at my desk and he never wants to be more than a few feet away. He loves belly rubs and loves to snuggle, especially at night when he enjoys sleeping next to me. He loves to go for car rides and wants to go wherever I go. He is housebroken, does well with baths and nail care, and is up-to-date on his shots. He has no known allergies and is not a finicky eater. We don't feed him people food so he lays at my feet during meals and does not beg at the table. He is non-aggressive and loves to give kisses. Buddy was a stray that I rescued off the street about a year ago because of his amazing, loving personality and his intelligence. He has been chipped and his new owner can transfer his registration to their name. Buddy has a scar on his belly from exploratory surgery. Shortly after I rescued him he vomited and stopped eating after accidentally ingesting some insecticide left behind by the exterminator. He was treated by the vet immediately. His x-ray showed what appeared to be a bowel obstruction so surgery was deemed necessary. The procedure revealed that he aspirated some of his stomach contents when he vomited, which led to pneumonia. He was prescribed antibiotics and quickly improved. He is now fully recovered and has had no other health issues. Buddy is a survivor, brimming with love and joy to be alive.

After verifying the adoption, Buddy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Buddy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Buddy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
