About this Dog

Daisy is a 4 year old pit bull, intact (not spayed), approximately 60 Ibs, and had her puppy shots. She is not up to date on her rabies shot, however, I can do it before the adoption if necessary. She is active, well built (aka can be strong) and is very excitable when she sees someone she's attached to. She is very protective of her owner to the point of aggression. However, I believe she could be trained otherwise in a proper, stable environment. A family member was no longer able to care for her due to personal health reasons. My own rental will not allow any pets, even temporarily. She needs a stable environment where training can be consistent and controlled. An environment with a calm atmosphere should help with her anxiety / fear provoked aggression. I believe (as a dog trainer) that she should be able to get over a lot of her fear when she is in more of a routine and has exercise. In the picture she has a metal choker collar on, but I believe that is the reason for her pulling when on a lead. I can imagine that possibly a gentle leader would be idle, IF it can fit her proper without giving her the chance to slip out. I do not think she should be in an environment with children, because she needs to have that constant, and she should not be exposed to the things that kids do (of no blame to them, I did it too as a kid). She is a lovely girl and can be very attached to her owner, but, the owner must keep the "pack/alpha" mentality and not allow her to get away with any of those burst of uncontrollable energy. She is great though. I know her through visiting and with her being hidden in my home for a few days, she has a lot of potential and such a deep personality. You must think "She is going on and on about her and her training, why doesn't she keep her?". Believe me, I would in a heartbeat. But, the consequences of violating my lease agreement worry me and I feel wrong for disobeying my landlord's trust. I bought her a crate (XL because that's the only one walmart had) and if need be, it can go with her. Along with her favorite toy, if possible (we can disinfect it). If you are still reading this, thank you so very much. Please help us find her a proper home.

Adopt Daisy and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Daisy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Daisy receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Daisy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Daisy's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Daisy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Daisy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Daisy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Daisy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
