About this Dog
Lucky needs a new home because his owner (my father, Mike) has recently lost his sight and is unable to care for Lucky. Originally a hurricane rescue, Lucky is a Vizsla Smooth Haired mix from San Antonio. Lucky was adopted by Mike in 2017 at 6-12 months old from the Idaho Humane Society. He is a is chipped and neutered, but he is very timid with strangers and does have fairly severe separation anxiety. He will need an “escape proof” yard as he likes to explore neighbor’s yards (but knows where home is). He’s 48 lbs and 24” – what I’d call a medium-sized pup. He has a sweet, albeit timid, disposition. I would not recommend him in a home with kids. He did really well with Mike's other dog Joey (recently passed away), but we don’t know how he’ll behave around cats.
