About this Cat
Tabby cat estimated between 1 and 1.5 years old. Weight currently unknown, though she was slender before becoming pregnant. She is approximately 3-4 weeks away from having her litter, so I am looking for a good samaritan that has the time, means, and patience to help raise the kittens until they are ready to be weaned and adopted. I found Topaz around my apartment complex in March of this year. I don't believe she was feral, I think someone moved out and left her behind. She was not quite full-grown when I got her. After some wooing, she became a very personable cat and enjoys attention. Back on June 21st she had a litter of six kittens, which I raised until they could be adopted. However, I kept two of the kittens. My plan was to have her spayed as soon as the kittens were weaned, however, she is used to being outdoor much of the time. She went back into heat and became pregnant again at some point. I live by myself in a one-bedroom apartment and it would be very difficult, almost impossible, to manage another pregnancy, as well as keeping her cooped up inside so that there's 0 percent chance she gets pregnant again. Not to mention I still have the two kittens from her previous litter who she has begun to get territorial around, probably because she is getting towards the end of term. She is really a sweet cat and I desperately want to find a loving home for her! I don't feel like I can care for her adequately in my current situation. I am hopeful there is someone out there for whom being involved in the miracle of new life is a perfect fit at present. I have not given her any shots — it is not safe to do so during a pregnancy or directly after when the mother is recovering. Foodwise, she is not picky, but I feed her mostly grain-free wet food and cooked dark-meat chicken, sometimes sardines packed in water. Grains and legumes are not good for a cat's health, even though people feed their pets low-quality kibble because it is cheaper. It will most likely be a challenge to get her used to being indoors, as she will have to be until 8-10 weeks after the kittens are born (the last litter continued to nurse intermittently until 12 weeks old!) She is an avid hunter and is used to partly providing for her nutritional needs that way. Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you feel you may be able to help me, please reach out. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Topaz was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Topaz’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
