Smokey (short hair) and Flopper (long hair) met in their foster home and quickly became brothers. Smokey is a sweet serious little man who likes every toy and a quiet night watching Paddington (his favorite movie). Flopper is a social butterfly with a heart full of love and no shortage of purrs! He’s never met a person he didn’t like and will instantly win you over with his big, soulful eyes. Though Smokey is smaller, Flopper often lets him win when they play. Together, they balance each other out perfectly—Smokey calms Flopper’s boundless energy, while Flopper brings out Smokey’s playful side. Flopper will be the first to cozy up with you in bed, while Smokey prefers to take his time but will eventually settle in—his favorite spot is on top of your head! Smokey and Flopper are bonded and MUST be adopted together. They also need to be in a home without other pets, as Smokey can get a bit jealous when Flopper shares his attention with others. Smokey is about 7 and Flopper is about 3. Both boys are neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Smokey and Flopper was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Smokey and Flopper’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Smokey and Flopper’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Smokey and Flopper’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
