About this Dog
From the foster:This sweet 8-year-old is 10 lbs of pure affection. Lorrie is a low-energy lap dog who loves lounging, gentle walks, and spending time with her humans. She’s house-trained on a schedule, friendly with small dogs, and adores everyone she meets. She’s not crate trained but sleeps through the night accident-free in a dog-proofed space. She’s working on her confidence and basic obedience and does great in the car and on leash. Lorrie would thrive in a calm home—solo or with another small dog—and is ready to snuggle her way into your heart. From the Vet: Lorax is a lovely lady with a few minor medical conditions going on. She has very small cataracts in both eyes that are not causing any pain or significant vision loss but could progress as she ages and should be monitored. She also has a precipitant in one eye that can refer to several things, usually related to deposits or buildups of substances within the eye structure. The precipitant is not painful or significantly affecting her vision at this time so no further work up or treatment will be done but could be needed in the future. She does have allergies and associated ear infections that will require lifelong management. She is doing well with the current management medication which is monthly cytopoint injections. She will be spayed, have her hernia repaired, and have a dental cleaning with multiple teeth extracted on 8/22.

Adopt Lorax and Receive Lorax's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lorax's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Lorax's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Lorax, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Lorax's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lorax was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lorax’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lorax’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lorax’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
