Collins and her sister, Allie were brought to MCHS on May 1, 2024. These 2 are about a year old. They were found abandoned in Mower County. About 2 weeks after arrival, Collings had kittens! She was a first time mama and did a great job with her 5 kittens and the 1 foster she accepted. Collins is a shy cat and like her sister, will need time, patience and love to adjust to you and new surroundings. She is now spayed and current on shots. She has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV. We are looking for an indoor only home for this girl. She is a shy kitty and will be one who will need an understanding home--someone who will allow her the time to adapt to a new life. Adoption fee is $80. A pet carrier is required at the time of adoption and you must be 21 to adopt from MCHS. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Collins was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Collins’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Collins’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Collins’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
