About this Dog
Meet Uno! Uno’s life before rescue was heartbreaking. He had been locked away in a back room — forgotten, neglected, and slowly wasting away. His meals were inconsistent, and water was a rare luxury. His former owners claimed he “threw up when he drank,” so instead of proper hydration, they’d give him ice cubes… when they remembered. In just two months, this once-chunky boy withered to skin and bones. Thankfully, someone noticed his suffering and reached out for help. And even though we were already overwhelmed, we couldn’t turn away — because Uno deserves so much more than to be discarded and ignored. Since arriving, Uno has had a warm bath, a nail trim, all necessary medical treatment, and most importantly, love. He’s on high-calorie food to help him regain his strength, and he’s now safe at a kennel. Uno is strong, affectionate, and happiest when he’s close to someone who cares. At the kennel, he calmly walks past other dogs without issue. He enjoys walks (though he could use a little leash training) and absolutely adores belly rubs. He’s currently being treated for mange caused by stress and malnutrition, but with consistent care, he’s expected to recover quickly. Uno’s journey has just begun, but his heart is already full of hope — and he’s ready to share that love with his future family. ❤️

100% of Uno's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Uno.
Adopt Uno and Receive Uno's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Uno's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Uno's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Uno, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Uno's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Uno was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Uno’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Uno’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Uno’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
