Hi! My name is Harley Quinn and I am 5 years old (I was born sometime in November 2019). I love to play all the time, especially with laser pointers. I'll run after most toys that move, as long as I get to nap here and there. I am highly intelligent and enjoy puzzle games such as using my paw to get treats out of toys, turning on the battery-operated cat teaser wand toy, and sometimes opening cabinets to go inside (a cabinet is a toy right?). I also LOVE my humans (I take a little while to warm up to new people of course)! I'll greet you like a dog, meowing and licking and rubbing against you as soon as you get home. I'll give you all the love and play you I can (until I get tired). When I am resting, I love to burrow under sheets and blankets. My humans joke that I am part monkey, part burrowing rodent. I also cannot be kept with other cats, but I like my human play-mates. Just do me a favor and keep wires and toys with string and feathers away from me. I cannot resist chewing and trying to eat them even though my humans tell me not to. If I have dry food available all the time, I chew less. I love playing with water, including my water dish. My humans say this isn't a problem because they just keep my water bowl in a tupperaware container or bathtub. I would be a great pet for a person who wants a dog or a high-energy child who is 10 years old or older! My Health I am sprayed, vaccinated, microchipped, always use the litter box, and have no health problems. Just 100% love and energy looking for a great home! Why I Am Looking for a New Home My humans are expecting a baby and once the baby is born, they won't have a suitable place to keep me in the house separate from the other cats. Adoption Extras If you adopt me, my humans are willing to give away all my toys (these are all safe for me). Also, if you keep me and care for me, you can sign an optional agreement to get $50 a month for 2 years if you keep and care for me during those 2 years. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Harley Quinn was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Harley Quinn’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Harley Quinn’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Harley Quinn’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
