Hello, I'm Sir Hemingway! I may be a little shy at first, but give me a moment and you'll see my playful, goofy side come to life. I’m a polydactyl, which means I have extra toes—it's like I'm always wearing little mittens, and I think it’s pretty cute! I love to hunt my toys and leave them on my foster mommy’s bed, or sometimes I’ll bring them to my friends and leave them in their bowls. I can be rambunctious and playful, but I do get a bit scared when approached by people. The good news is, I’ll come to you when I’m ready and happily cuddle up next to you on the bed or couch. While I’m not a fan of being picked up or held, I do enjoy attention in my own way. I would really thrive in a home with other cats, or maybe even as a working cat with lots of friends. My best friend, Tank, and I do everything together—we help each other come out of our shells and share lots of love. Could I be the sweet, semi-social companion you’ve been looking for?

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sir Hemingway was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sir Hemingway’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sir Hemingway’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sir Hemingway’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
