UPDATE: I was recently returned to St. Francis after 2+ years with my sister/buddy Honey. We thought we had a furrever home but that was not the case. So here we are again. You will find me either high up in my cat tree or outside on the Lanai. I will greet you with my smile and say hello! Hi my name is Charlie I'm a little shy but once you start petting me I love to purr. Other people said I was not friendly enough to have a indoor family. Thankfully foster mom thought differently. Now that I am inside and figuring out human love and kindness and kitty friendship, I love it. I have a new friend named Honey and I have lots of toys and high cats trees to climb. I am coming out of my shell and am learning to be a total sweetheart. I love my tummy rubs and will flip over for you to rub them. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Charlie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Charlie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Charlie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Charlie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
