Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!
No-kill shelters do wonderful work, but as a result, are often inundated with pet surrenders. In the unfortunate scenario that you have to find a new home for your pet, please read through the rehoming solution and articles on this page before contacting the shelter.

STAF is totally volunteer run, no humans are paid. All volunteers I have interacted were friendly and knowledgeable.

STAF will help make any adoption successful or take the pet back (if necessary) for the life of the animal.

I have adopted 2 cats from Save the Animals Foundation (STAF)in the last few years and wouldn't go anywhere else. They take the time to get to know you and then help you select an appropriate pet. They are helpful, supportive, and will take your pet back if anything would ever go wrong. STAF is a no-kill shelter and all adoptions are spayed/neutered with up to date medical care and vaccines.
IMPORTANT: This form is only for public comments about the shelter. To contact Save The Animals Foundation, please go directly to their website (link on previous page), this form will not send your comment to them.
Lady is a 1 year old female lab/ mix. She is up to date on her shots but she is not spade yet.
She has been obedience trained and she minds well.
She was run over by a bus at 6 months old and lived, so she stays away from the street. She has spent the majority of her year with children and she is very good with them. She also plays well with smaller dogs.
She is about 40 pounds now, has a playful personality that makes you want to laugh at her antics. She is also lovable and gentle. She doesn't bark at just anything, but she is a very sharp and alert watch dog.
Her family has split up and she needs another loving home and family.

I have 2 cats that I love but can no longer keep. They are 10 years old, spayed and declawed. I need to find them a kind and loving home as soon as possible, as I'm moving Aug 1 and cannot take them with me. Thank you so much.
