Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
No-kill shelters do wonderful work, but as a result, are often inundated with pet surrenders. In the unfortunate scenario that you have to find a new home for your pet, please read through the rehoming solution and articles on this page before contacting the shelter.

St. Huberts has the 4th highest kill rate in the state of NJ: https://njanimalobserver.wordpress.com/2019/08/14/new-jerseys-highest-kill-shelters-in-2018/
How is it on your website as a no kill shelter?
Cherry Blossom was a dog at their facility over the past 3-1/2 weeks. The owner had to surrender the dog due to a domestic violence situation. Cherry was scared and frightened at the shelter and they deemed her aggressive. The rescue JerseyPitRescue went to see Cherry and said she was stressed meanwhile the owner was told they where going to kill Cherry by weeks end. I spoke with Tom at the facility and he said they weren't going to kill Cherry (which seems like a lie especially if they deemed her aggressive). Nothing adds up with that place. They've lied to owners before who have had to surrender their dog or cats. They would say that the dog was doing great, going to be adopted out and then all of a sudden the dog is killed because it was aggressive. Check out the Google review and you'll see what I'm talking about.
This is an organization that does tons of fundraising to help kill dogs and cats. They rate right under a county run facility that probably doesn't do much fundraising if any. I ask again, how are they on your list?
