Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Range Regional Animal Rescue was incorporated in 2011. We are a non-profit 501c3 contracted with the City of Hibbing, MN. Our facility holds 32 dogs and 38 cats. We are a no-kill shelter providing care and service until a permanent home can be found. Our rescue is licensed and inspected by the State of MN Board of Animal Health.
Range Rescue gets our funding from our contract with the City of Hibbing, Grants (in the near future), fundraising and shelter income. We also rely heavily on the generous donations from kind animal lovers like you!
