The Black Forest Animal Sanctuary (BFAS) is a rescue and rehab farm dedicated to helping those animals that are abused, neglected, or no longer wanted by their current owners. Our organization has farms based in Colorado with Nationwide adoption & rehabilitation as our resources allow. We are also known as Charlotte & Arthur Romero Wildlife. A 501c3 not for profit.
For pet animals/small animals, we are licensed by the Colorado Department of Agriculture, Pet Animal Care Facilities Act (PACFA) Program. We use a network of foster homes to place cats and dogs for adoption.
