Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

One of the worst groups in canada, used to foster and volunteer, adopted a aggressive dog almost killed my other dog, group wanted me to rehome and find another person to take the dog, albeit its in their contract to not sell or rehome and give back to barcs, they didn't want it back and wanted me to do all the legwork to find another home for an aggressive dog. Assessments clearly aren't done by this group nor do they read medical history as my dog it wouldn't have been a surprised to them it needed medical attention asap and ongoing, their into for the money not for the dogs welfare at all, debra therrien is the worst personality to be in dog rescue, rough, gruff, low class bully tatics.. stay away from this group, they aren't to be trusted and back track on their words
